He hadn't seen you for a few weeks, not that he was looking. He had no reason to look; you were another component of the white noise, building his control over the other guy. Bruce thought back to that day, to the feeling of you in his arms. The way your hair smelled... He shook his head, staring back down at the Hulkbuster project, nearly completed now. Keep it together, Banner. Friendship would always be a risk with him around. He wasn't going to risk harming someone as kind as you. Not that he even had anything to build on, he'd fixed your laptop one time. You hadn't been back. Probably was just being nice about my work. He realized as he streamlined a piece of Tony's schematic that looked too easy to break. He glanced up as he passed the window of the coffee shop, "She's not coming back..." he muttered to himself, pressing his hand to his forehead as he tried to stay awake. Tony never slept.
